By Katie Clarke, Xi – Ohio University, Vice President of Recruitment for the Women’s Panhellenic Association

My name is Katie Clarke and I ran home to Alpha Delta Pi in the Fall of 2020 to Xi Chapter at Ohio University. Throughout my experience with Alpha Delta Pi, I have always wanted to be involved and find ways to not only benefit my personal chapter but the Panhellenic Community at Ohio University. Currently, I am the Vice President of Recruitment for the Women’s Panhellenic Association and was given the opportunity to travel to Indianapolis from January 27th – 28th to attend NPC Academy. This was a great experience to gain a better understanding of best practices for Recruitment and the overall process. However, I was also able to build deeper connections with my council and other Alpha Delta Pi sisters. It was really nice seeing other sisters be as passionate as myself when it comes to creating an overall better experience for their Panhellenic communities. NPC Academy gives Panhellenic women the opportunity to collaborate, encourage, and provide an experience that will be lasting throughout their term. I personally was able to gain connections and tips to help better the recruitment process for both Potential New Members and Recruiters. My council and I cannot wait to implement the new skills we gained throughout the next year.
