Summer is here which means our Executive Office Interns have finally arrived! After many applications, interviews, and much anticipation, eight lucky sisters are getting to call 1386 Ponce home for the next six weeks! Meet each of the interns below:

Amanda Wall is a rising Senior from the Eta Gamma chapter at Austin Peay State University. She is a Public Relations major with a double minor in Event Planning and Leadership Science with the goal of being a Leadership Consultant for Alpha Delta Pi and continue to work at the international level. Amanda serves as the Public Relations Chair and has previously been the Formal Recruitment Chair and the Spirit Chair. Her favorite part of the creed is “I believe that my sorority is more than a ritual or a symbol; that it is a way of life.” Amanda believes that this line encompasses what it means to be a member of Alpha Delta Pi. It is not just a social club or a resume booster. It is how she chooses to represent herself. A fun fact about Amanda is that she is a tour guide and orientation leader at her school!

Becca Sternberg is a rising Sophomore from the Beta Epsilon chapter at the University of South Carolina. She is a Political Science major with minors in Business and Journalism and plans on attending law school to become an attorney. Becca currently serves as Assistant Scholarship Chair as well as a member on several different committees. Her favorite part of the creed is “I believe that my sorority is more than a ritual or a symbol; that it is a way of life.” To Becca, this means that you should live and behave in a way where you are earning your letters every day. Being a sister in ADPi brings her the responsibility to be her best in all aspects of life and in her future endeavors. A fun fact about Becca is that she has been to eight Train concerts and has been invited up on stage twice!

Deleigha Hodges is a rising Senior from the Pi chapter at Iowa State University. As a Political Science major, she hopes to attend graduate school to obtain her masters in higher education or student affairs to be a director of a Sorority and Fraternity community. Deleigha has served as Assistant Guard and now serves as Chapter President. Her favorite part of the creed is “I believe that my sorority is more than a ritual or a symbol; that it is a way of life.” To Deleigha, this exemplifies truly what it means to be an Alpha Delta Pi woman. Being an ADPi woman means holding up the values of this sorority at all times. There may not always be people watching but you should ensure you are acting as though you are a role model for all. The values of this organization are her backbone and play a huge role in the decisions she makes every day. A fun fact about Deleigha is that she is the oldest of six kids, and the age gap between her and her youngest sibling is 19 years!

Ellie Marcum is a rising Junior from the Beta Psi chapter at the University of Kentucky. She is an Integrated Strategic Communications major with the hope to work in Media Relations or Sports Broadcasting for the Southeastern Conference. Ellie is currently serving as her chapter’s Secretary and Intramural Chair as well as previously holding a variety of other small chair positions. Her favorite line in the creed is “ADPi brings the responsibility to do my best in whatever I undertake, always remembering that leadership requires confidence tempered with humility and courage blended with tolerance.” She loves this excerpt because it aligns with her life verse, Ephesians 4:1-3, which she values as a beautiful and wonderful reminder to approach life with a kind and humble heart of service in an effort to make the world a better place. A fun fact about Ellie is that she grew up playing for the same soccer team as USWNT defender and Olympic Gold Medalist, Kelley O’Hara! You can tune in this summer to watch her and the rest of the USWNT in the World Cup!

Greer Kerns is a rising Senior from the Epsilon Pi chapter at Georgia Southern University. She is a public relations major who hopes to go into the event planning or wedding planning industry. Greer has served as the Chaplain, Special Events Chair, and currently serves as the Social Chair for her chapter. Her favorite part of the ADPi creed is, “…enduring attributes, exemplifying the highest ideals of Christian womanhood” because she has been able to grow closer in her relationship with the Lord as well as find great community through her chapter. A fun fact about Greer is that she has a fear of bananas!

Jadyn Shettel is a rising Junior from the Iota Epsilon chapter at the University of North Florida. She is a Communications major with an emphasis on Public Relations major with the hopes of becoming a communications coordinator with a focus on brand development. She currently serves as the Recruitment and Marketing Vice President and was the Formal Recruitment Chair previously. Her favorite part of the creed is “ADPi brings the responsibility to do my best in whatever I undertake, always remembering that leadership requires confidence tempered with humility and courage blended with tolerance.” To Jadyn, this means to set an expectation and inspires her to always put herself to keep moving forward no matter what obstacles are in her way. A fun fact about Jadyn is that she has been playing the violin for 14 years!

Julie Malonzo is a rising Junior from the Epsilon Rho chapter at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is a Healthcare Administration and Policy major with the hopes of becoming a Leadership Consultant and attending graduate school. Julie currently serves as her chapter’s Public Relations Chair. Her favorite part of the creed is “I believe that my sorority is more than a ritual or a symbol; that it is a way of life.” This is her favorite part of the creed because of how powerful it is. A lot of people tend to have a misconception of sororities, and oftentimes place negative stigmas upon them. However, ADPi has surrounded her with sisters who constantly push, motivate, and inspire her to be the best version of herself every day. It is a sisterhood that has given Julie endless opportunities and experiences to be a better leader for herself and for her future. A fun fact about Julie is that she is 4 ‘10 and has a YouTube channel!

Madonna Connors is a rising Junior from the Zeta Pi chapter at the University of San Diego. Madonna is a Marketing major with a Computer Science minor and plans to become an artistic director of a youth arts non-profit, pursue video production, and hopefully be a boss lady with her own business. Madonna currently serves as the Panhellenic Vice President of Community Relations and Marketing. Her favorite part of the creed is “I must strive to become a well-balanced person by following the dictates of the four points symbolized by our diamond-shaped badge.” This part constantly encourages Madonna to live out her values through each of her actions, as she surrounds herself with strong women who constantly uplift and empower each other.  To her, this phrase truly illustrates what it means to be an Alpha Delta Pi woman. A fun fact about Madonna is that she is vegan!

We are excited for all that is in store for this summer! Make sure to follow along on their journey @apdiinterns!
