A Year of Giving

2017 – 2018 was a big year. A record-breaking one, in fact. And the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation wants to thank YOU for being a part of it. We have so much to celebrate from this past year, and because of your contributions, $2,766,468 has been put to work for our sisterhood. Let’s break it down:

Educate.

This fall, 116 members will begin their academic year with a little something extra. More than $170,000 was awarded,

more than ever before! On top of that, 20 more scholarships became fully endowed or were newly established this past year, meaning that even more ADPi’s can receive funding for college tuition, books, and fees in the coming years.

Those who have supported a scholarship, whether it be nationally competitive or chapter specific, have made a significant impact on the lives of our sisters.

Thanks to your generous donation, I will be able to continue my membership in Alpha Delta Pi for my senior year. I will be able to focus less on working and more on my academics, and also on being a better sister to an organization who has given me so much in the last three years.

Lead.

Alpha Delta Pi women know what it means to step forward and take charge. The Annual Fund, supports our areas of greatest need, providing grants that fund opportunities to develop leadership skills for our collegiate members and alumnae advisors. The Foundation has three giving societies that support the Annual Fund: the 1851 Violet Circle exclusively for collegiate members, the Octavia Andrew Rush Society made just for young alumnae, and our leadership giving society, the Wesleyan Society.

You continue to amaze us, sisters! An incredible $666,791 was raised for the 2017-2018 Annual Fund. From Adelphean Compass, to the incredibly motivational speakers at Leadership Seminar, to the Behind Happy Faces campaign, these programs would not be made possible if it were not for your generosity.

Serve.

In the 2017 – 2018 academic year, collegiate and alumnae chapters alike held countless philanthropy events for the 120 Ronald McDonald Houses across the country (and Canada too) that Alpha Delta Pi supports! In the past four years, we have raised more than $6,160,000, soaring above the $1 million mark annually. This year, your efforts brought in $1,344,838 for Ronald McDonald House Charities.

And it doesn’t stop there! During that time, our members logged a total of 34,338 hours in their local RMHC’s. According to Independent Sector, the estimated value of volunteer time for data collected in 2017 averages out to $24.694/hour. This means our women donated $847,942.57 in volunteer hours.

Thank you doesn’t even begin to cover it, but we’ll say it: Thank You for your investment in our mission and for your continued commitment to support our sisterhood.
