Experience ADPi, Experience Opportunity

Alpha Delta Pi has given me every opportunity to better myself and my community. I came home to ADPi in the Fall of 2020. Like most others, I joined Greek life as a way to meet new people and have fun experiences. My freshman self would never have imagined where the decision of joining ADPi, a fun social sorority, would lead me.

Entering college at the peak of COVID-19 was not easy. Students had to be distanced from one another making it hard to create connections. It was lonely. ADPi gave me an outlet and let me create relationships at a time when it didn’t seem possible. These friendships blossomed into relationships that mean more than anything to me. They push me to be my best by celebrating me at my highs and comforting me at my lows.

These girls encouraged me to run for officer positions, knowing that the responsibility would be an opportunity for me to grow. For that, I cannot thank them enough. I was elected as Vice President of Marketing and took on a large responsibility as a freshman. This position opened up a whole new world for me. I fell in love with strategy, organization, creative elements, and personal development. This position helped me figure out what I wanted to pursue as a major and career. Without the love and trust of my sisters, I would not be on the same life path as I am today. I have held three positions since then, Director of Public Relations, Vice President of Panhellenic Relations, and President. I’ve even had the privilege of serving as a summer intern at Alpha Delta Pi Executive Office, working in the marketing and communications department.  ADPi offers so many opportunities to its members, and my biggest piece of advice would be to take advantage of them as much as possible.

In my collegiate career, I have learned that sometimes others can see the potential in you that you can’t see (yet) for yourself. I am so thankful that I have a community that supports me in every way, shape, and form. If I was given the opportunity to make the decision again, I 100% would. Being a part of ADPi has been an experience of a lifetime.
