As we begin a new year, I like to spend a few moments reflecting and giving thanks for the blessings and opportunities I have had throughout 2019.
I am blessed to have family and friends who provide love and support all year long. I am also blessed to be part of a sisterhood that provides lifelong friendships. The true meaning of this sisterhood was brought to the forefront when I attended my chapter’s (Epsilon Psi) 50th Anniversary celebration in October. I reconnected with sisters I had not seen in over 30 years. I met sisters – both younger and older – for the first time, and I had the privilege to visit with seven of our chapter’s founders. We hugged, we laughed, and we talked late into the night. Time rolled backwards, and it felt like we had never been apart. What an amazing experience!
As you reflect on 2019 and spend time remembering all things important, don’t miss out on the opportunity to reconnect with a sister. You may be surprised to find that time melts away, and the memories you share feel like they happened yesterday.
Happy New Year to all of my ADPi sisters near and far. #WeLiveforEachOther
