Individual Awards
Individual alumnae awards are given only during Grand Convention years. Award recipients are recognized at Grand Convention when able to attend. If a recipient cannot attend, alternate arrangements for recognition can be made.
To apply for award consideration, a member must self-nominate or be nominated. Executive Office will notify this sister of her nomination and prompt her to complete a brief award application. A nominated member must complete the online award application to accept the nomination to be considered. Criteria for each award is listed below.
Alumnae Ruth Pretty Palmer Panhellenic Award
- Involved with local alumnae Panhellenic
- Display outstanding leadership in her local alumnae Panhellenic
Mary Esther Hedley Van Akin Advisor of the Year Award
- Serve as a role model to collegians by demonstrating loyalty and dedication to Alpha Delta Pi
- Have a minimum of 5 years of service (does not have to be to the same chapter or for 5 consecutive years)
- Financial support through the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation, Inc. and annual alumnae ReMember Dues
Joan Perry Boatright Loyalty Award
- Active participation and service as an alumna member in an alumnae association, supporting a collegiate chapter, as an International Officer, or in special projects
- Leadership as an officer on the local, state, district, or international level
- Financial support through the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation, Inc. and ReMember Dues
- Assistance to collegiate chapter and participation in community or professional organizations. Consideration will be given to length of service.
Virginia Rosenberg Stafford Young Alumna Award
- Active participation in an alumnae association
- Service as an officer of an alumnae association, house corporation, or previous International Officer
- Financial support through the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation, Inc. and ReMember Dues
- Assistance to a collegiate chapter
- Participation in community or professional organizations. Consideration will be given to length of service.
Mary Bull Mason Outstanding Alumnae Achievement Award
- Active participation in community organizations, holding an office in her community or service organizations at the local, state, or international level.
- Being recognized for contributions by the community organizations
Tracy L. Garner Contribution to Profession Award
- Active participation and leadership in professional organizations
- Holding an office in professional organizations
- Being recognized within the profession and organization for achievements and impactful participation in community organizations
Outstanding Alumnae Association Board Member Award
- Support growth in association membership, service to Alpha Delta Pi, service to community organizations, and membership retention.
- Have a minimum of five years of cumulative leadership on one or more alumnae association boards, includes geographic, chapter, and state associations.
Outstanding House Corporation Board Member Award
- Ensure the House Corporation is compliant with all local and state laws, all requirements defined by the Alpha Delta Pi housing staff/volunteers.
- Have a minimum of five years of cumulative leadership on one or more house corporation boards.
