Alpha Delta Pi Foundation Announces Inaugural Ronald McDonald House Endowment Grants

Press Release

ATLANTA (October 24, 2019) – At the 168th Grand Convention, the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation announced grants for five chapters of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). Through a newly established endowed fund that was created as part of the Foundation’s landmark $10,000,000 We Believe Campaign, collegiate chapters, alumnae, parents, and friends of Alpha Delta Pi have helped raise more than $620,000 with a purpose of furthering the reach of our philanthropic partnership with RMHC.

Five grants of $5,000 each were awarded to the following local RMHCs:

  • Arkansas in support of a Ronald McDonald House Family Room
  • Bismarck, ND in support of an expanded meal program
  • Idaho in support of construction of the Family Room within Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center
  • New Mexico to support of the first purpose-built Ronald McDonald House in a hotel
  • Siouxland, IA for the RMHC of Siouxland Family Kitchen & Lunch Program

Through this new initiative, we’ve been able to expand the impact of Alpha Delta Pi support by helping to provide the resources for local RMHCs even if they do not have a local Alpha Delta Pi collegiate chapter or alumnae association nearby.

As Alpha Delta Pi celebrates our 40th Anniversary as a National Partner with RMHC, we remain committed to helping Keep Families Close. Through fundraising millions of dollars annually, volunteering in local RMHCs, and becoming RMHC volunteers, Alpha Delta Pi members across the US and Canada have demonstrated their commitment to RMHC and the difference RMHC makes in the lives of families as they face life-saving medical situations.
